At Pitcher Pediatric Dental, our only mission is to create an environment where children can feel comfortable and have a positive experience at the dentist. We do our best to motivate them to enjoy oral health care and create habits that will last a lifetime.
Prevention has always been the core of our dental approach. We hold a record in Rochester for 90% of our six-month check-up patients being cavity-free.
At your convenience, we have three to four hygienists that are available simultaneously to lessen your wait time so that you can get your children in and out. Our office is also handicap-accessible.
We are happy to help you submit predetermination and initial insurance claims revolving around our care charges in our office. However, our primary financial relationship is with our patients and their families, not their respective insurance companies.
Our office will electronically submit to your private insurance company; but the insured party is ultimately responsible. We charge directly to the patient or their family, and they are responsible for payment of all fees incurred. Our office is happy to accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, and ApplePay. When needed, we also participate in and accept Care Credit.
This provider does not have an alliance with any insurance company. Therefore, all payments must be done out-of-pocket. Patients cover their own expenses for treatment and then are reimbursed by the insurance carrier. In our patients’ best interest, we work to maximize their dental benefits
Insurance Based Providers (In exchange for patient pools)
In exchange for patients, some dental providers are insurance based. With this provider, there are fees scheduled by the insurance company for specific procedures. Some dentists choose this method because they get paid directly from the insurance company.
As a lifelong Pittsford resident, a graduate of St. Louis School and Our Lady of Mercy High School, Dr. Pitcher always knew she wanted to be a dentist. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from William Smith College and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. She came back to The University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry for her Postdoctoral degree in Pediatrics at their hospital-based residency at the Eastman Institute for Oral Health.
Upon completion, Dr. Pitcher entered private practice in 1999 in Pittsford where she became the owner of the Rosen Pitcher Dental Group in 2003. After extensive non-mandatory testing and case presentation, she is honored to have become a Diplomate of The American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a Fellow of The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. In addition, Dr. Pitcher is a Certified Sedation Provider in New York State. All of these accolades require multiple, extensive requirements to maintain annually.
As published in the Nov – Dec 2014 edition, and subsequent years, of the (585) magazine, Dr. Pitcher has been awarded a Top Dentist as evaluated by her colleagues when asked, “If you had a patient you needed to refer, who would you send them to? Dentists and patients are asked to take into consideration years of experience, continuing education, manners with patients, use of new techniques and technologies, and of course physical results.”
Dr. Pitcher and her family live in Rochester and enjoy the Finger Lakes for recreation. Her husband, daughter, and son are very involved in the family’s office and practice.
Our dental hygienists: Catie, Jen, and Kristen are certified by New York State to administer and monitor Local Infiltration Anesthesia/Nitrous Oxide Analgesia.
Catie is a Registered Dental Hygienist and a graduate with distinction from Monroe Community College’s Dental Hygiene program.
She has been working with children since the beginning of her hygiene career. Catie came to us for a private practice setting and cherishes the years she has seen our patients grow. When not at work, Catie enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her kittens. You will appreciate her caring nature and gentle touch with attention to detail.
